Sep 18,2020 -     Time: 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Dear MHRA Members & Friends, We are looking forward to the MHRA Fall Kick-Off this week Friday, September 18, but we’ve realized that a virtual half-day program is not in the cards for many of you.  We get it – we’re all stretched thin and Zoomed out! As is happening with many things during this unprecedented time, we’re going to “pivot”, shortening the Fall Kick-Off to a virtual presentation from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., this Friday, September 18.  This is a complimentary program --  no charge!       We have two great presentations lined up: Unemployment in the COVID Pandemic – “I’m Going Off the Rails on a Crazy Train. . .” Ron Miller, Barnes & Thornburg Finding employees in our market is tough – and it’s been made even more difficult by the CARES Act unemployment benefit supplement that has made it more lucrative for some employees to collect unemployment benefits than to work.  The CARES Act supplement has run out and Congress can’t agree on a new funding package.  The President provided additional funding through an Executive Order, but what does it provide, how long does it last and what’s the source of the funding?  Ron Miller of Barnes & Thornburg will get us back on track from the “Crazy Train” and answer your unemployment benefit questions.     Turning Frustration into Satisfaction Diane Winn & John Winn Through Eagle’s Eyes, Inc.   We ALL deal with frustrations and problems that are generated from people and situations outside of our control.  Somehow it all seems intensified at this time in 2020. What do we have the power to change in these situations?  How do we bring a peaceful resolution to volatile situations?  Professional coaches John Winn and business partner, Diane Winn, will lead us through an understanding of how to navigate frustrations to a sense of satisfaction, turning  potential obstacles into successful outcomes. If you already submitted a paid registration, we’ll credit your payment to a future MHRA luncheon.
