Employment Law Update from Barnes & Thornburg LLP
Please join us for the kick-off of our MHRA program year! We have been busy planning speakers for the coming year, and we’re pleased to have Barnes & Thornburg speak at our September luncheon.
With what seems like almost daily new developments from the current administration, there are a lot of changes for HR to track. The Elkhart/South Bend labor and employment team will provide a legal update on critical employment law issues, including evolving developments from Washington D.C., Indiana, and our neighbors in Michigan, including:
- Changes to legal immigration status and increased ICE enforcement;
- Economic issues necessitating workforce reductions and other cost-cutting;
- New government focus and enforcement efforts relating to equal employment opportunity and accommodations
There’s a lot to pack in so we’ve extended our program this month. We’ll start with lunch at 11 a.m. and our program will run from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
